Option 1: You have the manpower but
no in-house expert to do Predictive and Preventive Maintenance Program
You have the in-house manpower but
no in-house expertise to do the
predictive maintenance of your machines.
This option is chosen if you want to use your in-house personnel to do
data gathering on machines. The data or tests will then be sent to our
office for compilation and analysis. Recommendations and diagnostics
will be done based on the data sent to us.
We have a
recommended plan to get you started on proactive maintenance. It's a
two level plan and you are free to change directions along the way.
In-house Manpower Plan:
Time
period for this plan: 2 years with at least a quarterly
vibration and oil tests on
machines.
Level 1

Train your
chosen personnel on proper datalogging of vibration data. A DCA-50
from Azima DLI vibration analyzer will be provided to you for your
in-house use. A Level 3 ASNT vibration technician will be onsite to
identify machine test locations with your personnel, prepare the
machines, install test pads, and establish the machines in the
database.

Train your
in-house personnel how and where to take oil analysis samples on
identified machines. Filled bottles will be sent to our office for
analysis. Oil Analysis bottles will be provided regularly.

Train your
in-house personnel how to take Ultrasound PdM readings on machines.
An ultrasonic equipment will be provided for your personnel's use.

Once personnel
is comfortable, he/she can do the datalogging of machine vibration
data and send the data to us for analysis via e-mail. A Level 3 ASNT
vibration analyst will analyze the data and send you the diagnostics
and recommendations.
You
can choose to stay in this arrangement or move on to Level 2.
Level 2
- Personnel training on vibration analysis
starting from Level 1 to Level 2. Personnel training on
ExpertALERT101 and Expert201.
- Transfer database to your personnel's
computer.
- In-house personnel will start analyzing
vibration data that he collected.
- Continue oil sampling and oil analysis
tests.
- Continue Ultrasound PdM.
At this point, you can now do your own in-house
vibration analysis.
